Free Antivirus Tools Collection

Virus.gr offers all its members a UNIQUE collection of FREEWARE antivirus, antispyware and antirootkit software. Included software:

• a-Squared Emergency USB Stick (not included in the Lite version)
• Norman Malware Cleaner (not included in the Lite version)
• McAfee DOS scanner
• BitDefender DOS scanner
• Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool (not included in the Lite version)
• Trend Micro Sysclean Utility (not included in the Lite version)
• McAfee Rootkit Detective (included ONLY in the Full and AntiRootkit version)
• Lavasoft Anti-Rootkit (included ONLY in the Full and AntiRootkit version)
• Panda Anti-Rootkit (included ONLY in the Full and AntiRootkit version)
• Trend Micro Anti-Rootkit (included ONLY in the Full and AntiRootkit version)
• Sophos Anti-Rootkit (included ONLY in the Full and AntiRootkit version)

These applications are freeware and do NOT need an installation on the hard disk. Their purpose is to clean the computer from any malware.

If you know-or think- that your computer is infected, and want to use this collection of software, you must boot into safe mode of your operating system and start using, one by one (preferably in the order the software is placed into the menu), the antivirus software. If you have Windows XP, be sure to deactivate system restore before booting into safe mode. The DOS scanners' report files are stored into the user's hard disk and may be viewed by clicking onto the blue button next to each DOS scanner. The Windows-based software automatically generate their reports.

If an antivirus software detects and cleans a malware in your computer, be sure to reboot your computer once more into safe mode BEFORE using another antivirus software of the collection.

The collection comes into three versions: one (Full) for the users with high-speed internet access, one (Lite) for those with low-speed internet access and one that contains ONLY AntiRootkit programs.
